Privacy
This project posts physical parcels, so it will eventually hold names and home addresses. That is the most sensitive thing here and the second clause explains exactly how long it is kept, which is: not long.
01
What is collected
Submissions you send: photographs, the story attached to them, the handle you choose, and any grades you cast. If you are sent a card, a postal address and a name to post it to. If you interact on chain, a public wallet address. That is the complete list.
02
Postal addresses are treated as the sensitive thing they are
An address is requested only when something is actually being posted to you, is used only for that, and is never retained as a mailing list. It is not published, not shown to other members, not used for marketing, and not shared with anyone except the postal carrier handling that specific parcel. You are never required to give one; declining simply means nothing is posted.
03
How long an address is kept
For an ordinary prize, until the parcel arrives or its tracking closes — target thirty days after despatch, then deleted. For a card you have posted in for grading, your return address has to be kept for as long as the card is away, which is set by the grading company and routinely runs to several months; it is deleted once the graded card is back with you. Those are the only two reasons an address is held, and neither of them is a mailing list.
04
What is public by nature
Anything you submit for grading is meant to be seen — the photograph, the story, your handle, and the grade it receives are published on CrapTCG and may be reposted on social media. Do not photograph anything you would not want public, and check the background of your own photographs for post, screens, and faces before sending them. Wallet addresses and on-chain transactions are public on the blockchain by design and cannot be deleted by anyone, including the operator.
05
What is never collected
No private keys, no seed phrases, no passwords, no payment card details, no government identification, and no date of birth. Nobody from this project will ever ask you for any of those, in any channel, for any reason. Anyone who does is not us.
06
Selling data
Personal information is never sold, rented, or traded. There is no advertising network on this site and no data broker relationship.
07
Third parties
The site is hosted by a commercial hosting provider, which processes ordinary server request logs including IP addresses. Postal carriers receive the address needed to deliver a parcel. Community discussion may take place on platforms operated by other companies, which have their own privacy policies and their own access to what you post there. No other processor receives your information.
08
Analytics and cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and does not attempt to identify you across other websites. Any aggregate traffic measurement is limited to counts that cannot be traced back to an individual.
09
Children
This project is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted something, get in touch and it will be removed.
10
Your rights
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and it will be done as quickly as it can be. Depending on where you live you may have further statutory rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority. Exercising any of these will never cost you standing in the community.
